Diastasis Recti is a partial or complete separation of your rectus abdominis, aka your “six-pack” muscle. This results from the extreme stretching of your abdominal muscles from pregnancy and therefore a gap widens in the midline. This usually manifests as a bulge on the front of the abdomen when rising up forwards or doing abdominal crunches.
